Cinesplore (Analog, 3", 4S)
This is my first build, a Cinesplore in 4S, named Valentino in honor of the famous pilot... Having started by "flying" an Alpha 85 in 2 inches, I thought it would be easier to go up a size with an equivalent Whoop in 3 inches. That's not really fair, in fact I find that my 5 inch made since is easier to fly. Anyway! This thing flies, has propeller guards and I'm having fun with it, that's what counts! The build The build was not complex: I replaced the 25mm spacers delivered with the model by 20mm spacers because I didn't equip it with the original ducts, but with simple printed propeller protections: so the "top-plate" arrives at the same level as the protections. I hired a service provider to print the nylon ducts, because it's very solid and I don't have the equipment at home to do that. It's very, very strong, I crashed it several times since... The system I put the esc under JESC because they are originally in BLHeli_S. The FC is under Emu with the setting recommended by the frame manufacturer. The propellers I put 8 blades propellers, to test : I don't think it brings much compared to the usual tripales. It's fragile (if I touch it, a blade is almost always broken) and it doesn't have much "drive" contrary to what I read here and there. So I switched back to tripales since then, but propellers are like tastes and colors, it's personal: moreover, I've only been in this Hobby for 1 year and very few hours, so my opinion... If I had to do it again I'll take ESCs in BLHeli32 : I love the feeling at low speed with this software and I'll also switch to Betaflight 4.3. My beginner's thumbs did not find any particular interest in Emuflight. I would put on 3 inch propellers and change... the color π. I would upgrade to 6S as well. I have 2 spare frames bought in promo on TBS (20β¬ each). So it's not excluded that I'll put a second one together: I like this machine, it's small, light (you can carry it in a top-case) it flies well if you know how to do it (I don't) and it limits the risks for third parties thanks to the protections while being able to carry a GoPro. In short, it's a real all-in-one. Test flight A small video of a test flight that ends in the newborn wheat... I had just switched to 3.5v (the battery is an 1100mha) and there was 27km/h of wind and I tried the looping of too much... π Well, by the way I think that there was cut of all the motors following the too big throttle in low voltage, so I could not do anything. It never happened again on the following flights. WEIGHT : 220 grams
